On Monday morning an explosion was reported at an illegal firecracker manufacturing factory in Thaiyilpatti near Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, India.

Firefighters were quickly dispatched to the scene. Unfortunately, two people lost their lives, while two others were injured. The injured were immediately rushed to the hospital.

Rescue operations are ongoing. More details to follow.
