The Italian government panel of scientists today afternoon held a meeting to discuss a date to remove the mandatory use of the mask. The compulsory use of masks wiĺl now be revoked on June 28th in all regions which are classified as ‘white band’. Only one region is not in the white band and its Aosta Valley.
The Italian government made mask wearing mandatory back in October 2020, and as the heat is engulfing Europe, more and more people are relieved that mask wearing will be dropped soon.
From June 28, we will overcome the obligation to wear masks outside in the white zone, but always respecting the precautionary indications established by the CTS.

The decision to lift the mask- mandate comes as more and more regions dropped their coronavirus restrictions as infections dropped. Also, 46.2 million vaccine doses have been administered and 15.9 million (30% of the population) people are fully vaccinated.
