On Wednesday, the Russian Defense Ministry said that they used high-explosive bombs as a warning to the British Navy destroyer in the Black Sea. Around twenty Russian fighter jets were encircling the destroyer at one point.
A Russian jet, Su-24 is believed to have dropped four bombs near the Royal Navy destroyer H.M.S. Defender. A Russian border patrol ship also opened fire to divert the British destroyer after it entered Russian territorial waters off Crimean coast, despite radio warnings not to do so. Russia said that the British destroyer entered 3km into its waters.
Update: UK rejected denies that there were warning shots from the Russians. The UK believes that the Russian army was conducting a military exercise 3 miles away from HMS Defender, and the UK destroyer was always in international waters.
