A 3.1-magnitude earthquake strikes New Mexico, minutes after two other quakes of 4.3 and 3.0-magnitude struck the same location.

An hour ago, USGS reported a third earthquake as a 3.1-magnitude earthquake in Culberson County, Texas, 53 miles south of Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico, USA at a shallow depth of 6km. Two other quakes of 3.0 and 4.3 magnitude struck minutes before in the same location. The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) listed the third earthquake as a 3.0-magnitude.

The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might revised in the next hours or minutes as seismologists review their data and calculations, or else as other agencies issue their report.

It is not expected that the quake was felt by many people.
