A 5.3-magnitude earthquake strikes Venezuela.

Just minutes ago, 2.18am local time, a 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck 47 km west of Guiria, Municipio Valdez, Sucre, Venezuela at a shallow depth of 10km. Shallow depth earthquakes tend to be felt more.
The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the earthquake might be revised in the next few hours as seismologists review their data. No information regarding any damage has been reported yet. Based on preliminary data it is believed that the earthquake have not caused alot of damage.
Most of the shaking of the earthquake was felt in Guiria (pop.40,000) located 47km from the epicenter of the quake, but other cities or towns in the vicinty might have felt a weak shaking.
