Seven Russian warships close to Honolulu, Hawaii.

Seven Russian warships have approached 35 nautical miles south of Honolulu, Hawaii on Saturday, 19th June 2021. They were escorted out by three Arleigh Burke class destroyers and a Sentinal Class coast guard cutter.
The Russian ships consist of Project 19141 Marshal Krylov, Project 1155 Udaloy 1 class Marshal Shaposnikov, Project 20380 Steregushchiy class Sovershenny, Gromkiy, Aldar Tsydenzhapov, Projwct 1164 Slava class Varyag and Project 1155 Udaloy 1 class Admiral Panteleyev.
On June 17th, USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), the flagship of CSG-1, operating alongside Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 2, Destroyer Squadron 1, the guided-missile destroyers USS O’Kane (DDG 77), USS Howard (DDG 83), USS Chafee (DDG 90), USS Dewey (DDG 105) and USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112) arrived in Hawaii for training operations. They carried out their training exercises closer to Hawaii upon noticing Russia’s navy was close.
It is believed that the Russian warships were also conducting several training exercises. More details to follow.
