Today, all coronavirus restrictions will be lifted after a year of complex regulations of what Californians should do due to the spread of COVID-19. The state is the most populous in US, with 40 million people living is one of the last to lift all the coronavirus restrictions.
The majority of Californians are vaccinated and the State’s number of cases have remained low, but there are still pockets where less people are vaccinated, and the virus, especially the new variants may spread easily among them. Still, according to Dr. Kirsten Bibbins-Domingo, the vice dean for population health and health equity at the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, the state is still ready to open.
We absolutely are.

But she is worried about those who did not get vaccinated, and believes that the state should continue pushing to vaccinate more people.
From today, people can stop following social distancing and wear masks if fully vaccinated. Those who are not vaccinated are still expected to wear masks indoors. Any business can deny entry to unvaccinated individuals, but must post these rules and patrons will ‘self-attest’ that they are complying.
More details to follow.
